One of the most common adverse incident in adults/patients is a fall. In medical history fall management has always been a major setback. The repercussions of a fall can lead to major health decline, very taxing healing process and rises medical care cost. This project proposes a novel approach to successfully monitor and assist people. An accelerometer sensor and a GPS module are deployed in the human body. The former gives a relative Cartesian coordinate output with reference to its preset coordinate condition for a stable body posture. The latter is used for tracking the location. Hence, the setup is used to monitor the subject's movements and location. An alert message is sent to the caretaker in case of any adversity using a GSM module. The complete system is interfaced with an ARDUINO UNO microcontroller.
