Survey on spectrum sensing techniques in cognitive radio networks

Recent advancements in wireless communication technologies have lead to challenges in effective utilization of Radio frequency (RF) spectrum. These challenges can be overcome by using cognitive radio (CR) technology, which implements spectrum access in opportunistic manner. In this article we study the classification of various spectrum sensing techniques used in field of CR technology with a comparative study of their performances under different conditions.
