From Gut Feelings to Deep Learning

Often our actions are based on gut feelings, i.e. sub-conscious non-verbal processes. These processes may suggest alternatives superior to those from our conscious logical systematic reasoning. Today we have AI systems using ”deep learning” with their own observations and conclusions. Can humans in the future compete with such systems?
