Radar signal identification using a neural network and pattern recognition methods

The paper describes two methods of radar signal identification: a traditional solution based on the numerical pattern recognition techniques and modern trend based on the neural networks. In the first method the different measures of similarity were used to classify measured radar signals to one of the earlier determined templates representing L classes for previously recognized radars. In the second method a model of a three-layer neuron network was used to recognize radar signals. The quality of these methods to classify radar signal was examined by using the computer simulated data and real measured data.
