Software-defined networks (SDNs) are a new approach to building networks, which has given impetus to the development of many technologies used as the basis for many modern applications, such as access control that is based on policies, network virtualization and others. Introduction of the software allows you to increase flexibility and accelerate the return on investment in network structures. On the other hand, this increases the complexity of the system and causes the need for funds to ensure their security and correctness. SDN components can solve these problems. Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) creates new opportunities for networking professionals, but it also leads to problems related to security. The problem of development and description of common interfaces for security NFV and associated technologies is facing a number of Internet service providers and network equipment manufacturers. This paper provides a comprehensive overview of issues related to security in software-defined networks and network virtualization functions.
