With the development of mobile internet and the improvement of culture life standards, people are no longer satisfied with the traditional mobile applications based on pictures and text. Video and audio applications have gradually become the focus of development. In this paper, we design and implement a karaoke system based on Android platform. The system is a typical C/S mode, the client has the functions of song retrieval (including humming search), audio recording, MV recording, singing score, and the server uses the classic JavaEE three tier architecture which is consists of Struts, Spring and Hibernate. The data of the system is stored by MySQL. We have improved the humming retrieval algorithm and singing scoring algorithm. After testing and running, the system achieves the predetermined target requirements, and has a certain stability and high software quality.
