An image similarity measure based on joint histogram — Entropy for face recognition

Face recognition has become practically applied in many places such as airports, pay money and many other purposes. In this paper, we will address this hot topic by using the principles of information theory in the face recognition. Taneja entropy measure used in this paper and combination it with the joint histogram of two images under test. Two of the most popular face databases used in this paper are FEI and ORL show that the proposed measure outperforms existing measures.
