On the behavior of solutions of the nonstationary Stokes system near the vertex of a cone

Abstract The paper deals with the Dirichlet problem for the nonstationary Stokes system in a threedimensional cone. The authors study the asymptotics of the solutions near the vertex of the cone. They show that the solutions are sums of singular functions and a regular remainder, where the singular functions depend on the eigenvalues of a certain operator pencil.
