Security research of redundancy in mimic defense system

Mimic defense technology is put forward to solve the problem, the defense is often passive while the attack is active in the cyber security, based on hardware and software diversity, which has been a question of heat in the research of active defense technology. First, core characteristics of mimic defense technology including redundancy, dynamic heterogeneous redundancy model and so on are analyzed. Then, the mimic defense system is described based on the analysis formally which helps to the security analysis of mimic defense system. Moreover, the security state of three redundant mimic defense system is also analyzed by Markov model. Finally, the relation between redundancy and the ability to defend attack in mimic defense system is verified through Monte Carlo simulation.
