Device that assists the visually impaired people to identify people through face recognition

This paper presents a device to help visual-impaired people, capable of recognizing faces and therefore identifying or verifying persons present in an environment. An anonymous questionnaire was carried out online in order to verify the feasibility of the project and the databases faces94, faces95 and faces96 were used to test its functionality.
