Weighted-based oriented cuckoo search

Oriented cuckoo search (OCS) is a new variant of cuckoo search algorithm, due to the enhanced global search capability, it can quickly converges to the optimum, and is easily trapped into one local optimum. To overcome this premature convergence phenomenon, in this paper, a new variant, namely weighted-based oriented cuckoo search, is designed. In this algorithm, the global search pattern is combined with the OCS and the standard version, and different cuckoos with different performances may select the different global search manner. To test the performance, CEC2013 benchmarks are employed, and four other algorithms are compared, simulation results show the validity.
