As an alternative to IP-based network, Named Data Networking (NDN) is designed for data retrieval and have native support for mobility via data name based message transmission. Although some recent studies proofed the feasibility and benefits of adopting named data into content retrieval, it still lacks the smart package forwarding strategy in VANET. In view of the fact that most vehicles' movement and desired information have certain social features and are not completely random, this paper presents a improved named data based forwarding strategy which forwards Interest packages and caches Data package based on how concerned the nodes are about the named content. Different from the distance based packet broadcast mechanism, the proposed strategy evaluates the nodes' concern degree on the content and forwards Interest along the direction of increased concern, which inhibits the channel congestion caused by disordered broadcasting of Interest and Data packages and decreases packet loss caused by farther nodes distance and low communication signal. Simulation in ndnSIM shows that the proposed strategy can improve the efficiency of content discovery, reduces the package redundancy and increases the hit radio of cache content.
