WebGIS-Based Management System for Water-Use in Irrigation Area

WebGIS, data collection and internet technique were applied to management for water-use in irrigation area. Architecture and classification of WebGIS were discussed. The WebGIS-based management system for water-use was designed and implemented with GeoBeans software in northern irrigation area of the Hun River in Shenyang, China. The spatial and irrigation attribute database and network management for water-use module were established in the system which improves the real-time and accuracy of water-use and reduces operation cost of the irrigation area.
