Experimental evaluation on the effect of video quality parameters and encoding rate over IP networks

Video streaming over the Internet is increasing in popularity. Cost effectiveness, flexibility and usability among others are the driving force behind its widespread and adoption. However, it is a challenge to achieve high quality video with limited bandwidth. In this paper, we present an experimental evaluation and study in order to understand how the main video quality parameters such as the frames per second, resolution and the bit rate affects the video quality over the Internet.
