In this paper, we propose to compute a quadcopter-mounted projector's position so that the luminance of the projected image is maximized while the image covers the entire surface. We also compute a path of the flying projector to move close to the surface while avoiding the collision with an observer. In addition, the projected image is geometrically corrected to display undistorted image on a projection surface. They are solutions to inherent problems of the flying projector. First, a small quadcopter has a low payload and cannot carry a bright projector, because such projector is typically heavy. Second, there is a danger of collision between quadcopter and observer. We confirmed the effectiveness of our methods through an experiment.
