Different units of measurement are used in different geographical regions. The same applies to currencies, time zones and other location sensitive data. For ease of use, it is desirable that this location sensitive data be available in standards native to the user's country, state or geographical region. Standards, here, refer to all location sensitive data. In life scenarios, however, a reader often comes across non-native or foreign standards in text. It requires the reader to go through the arduous task of converting each instance of a foreign standard to his or her native standard. This task of manual conversion is redundant, time consuming and may lead to inconsistent or inaccurate interpretation of data. To eliminate this inconvenience, this paper focuses on the proposal of a standards elimination parser. The functioning of the parser involves natural language interpretation and manipulation leading to removal of barrier of standards while interpreting data.
