Algorithms permit a performer to play several instruments at once: here the focus is on the carillon but also robotic instruments, and on create changing and flexible music quickly. The chapter discusses how the author’s approach to solo performance brings serendipity and musical richness, and a sense of duetting with a fellow inventor.
