In narrowband, a Radio spectrum is very limited. In order to be able to communicate more effectively, every user of radio spectrum needs a channel. These channels are often differentiated by their frequency, a radio frequency (RF) channel has frequency bandwidth or channel spacing. In this paper, we analyze the packet length effect on the resulting bitrate, forwarding time and modulation rate versus channel spacing. The authors propose a novel metric of radio parameters to transmit a single packet for one-hop Wireless Mesh Network exploring various narrowband channel spacing values.
