Digital signage (DS) has unlimited availability not only in a display exhibition but in various fields such as advertisement, internet of things (IoT), internet surfing. The wireless communication system between DSs is very important and it is defined as internet of signage (IoS). The reason is that the IoS for DS and another DS transfer data such as the information on position, distance, channel condition, signal to noise ratio (SNR) of the received signal, etc. Therefore, the IoS requires the robust and spectral efficient communication scheme in the fading channel. In an environment including many interference signals, the adaptive modulation and coding (AMC) scheme is necessary to provide a reliable communication. Additionally, the cooperative communication scheme extends the small cell coverage of the IoS communication system. This paper provides the improved wireless communication scheme applied with the AMC and cooperative communication scheme. The AMC scheme adaptively uses the modulation scheme and code rate according to the channel state information (CSI). The cooperative communication scheme can extend the coverage of the DS using the relay DS. Because the proposed scheme provides the reliable wireless communication, it does not require unnecessary retransmission.
