A brief account of Hellberg's morphology system (flellberg, 78J is presented -its aims an d structure, and h o w it deals with inflection, derivation and compounding. Then there follows a discussion of our experience when implementing and running the program an d evaluating the success of the system. Discussion points are accompanied by run-time examples. S o m e improvements on the original system have been m a de a n d are illustrated in the text. A s u m m a r y of our evaluation is given.
