Information leak through the quantum horizon

Michele Arzano · arXiv (Cornell University) · 2005

Planck-scale corrections to the black-hole radiation spectrum in the Parikh-Wilczek tunneling framework are calculated. The corrective terms arise from modifications in the expression of the surface gravity in terms of the mass-energy of the black hole-emitted particle system. The final spectrum exhibits non-zero statistical correlations between modes with different energies. The presence of correlations is a genuine Quantum Gravity effect related to the appearance of a logarithmic term in the Bekenstein-Hawking entropy-area relation. These correlations might provide a way in which information about quantum states propagating through the horizon is reconstructed.
