Tomasz Hachaj, Marek R. Ogiela, Marcin Piekarczyk · 2017

The motivation of this paper is to introduce readers to the open online repository of karate motion capture data. The repository is being made as the part of the research project “Development of new machine learning methods for human actions evaluation and recognition” and is available online. At this moment our repository contains 320 recordings of 28 karate techniques performed by Oyama and Shorin-ryu karate practitioners and is rapidly developing. The website interface allows also to visualize human motion in 3D and playback selected karate techniques online in web browser. It is also possible to download the latest source codes for MoCap data signal processing, analysis and classification from the project website.
