Efficient dynamic resource provisioning using auction based technique with improved QoS in cloud environment

P. Vinothiyalakshmi, R. Anitha · 2017

In cloud computing multiple cloud users can request number of cloud services simultaneously. Provisioning is carried out in such a way that all resources are made available to user's request in an efficient manner to satisfy their needs. The major issue in cloud resource provisioning is to discover and allocate the best workload-resource pair. This paper proposes the QoS based Resource Provisioning using Auction technique with QoS based clustering. The proposed work analyses the workload and classifies it based on common pattern and allocates the cloud workloads using the novel double-sided enhanced multi-attribute combinative auction (E-MCA) technique. The proposed E-MCA technique offers the auctioneer to interact with user using an auction mechanism for best resource provisioning. The proposed technique pave the way for efficient best workload-resource pair allocation with QoS based clustering which reduce cost, time and improve the QoS by means of increasing performance, security, usability, availability, network bandwidth, serviceability and customer confidence level in a dynamic cloud environment.
