In the recent years, the initiative “Industrie 4.0” has been the focal point of industrial research in Germany. The initiative aims mainly to establish a more flexible, as well as a more cooperative production process. One pivot point in the discussed topics of cooperative production is the resource sharing and load reallocation. Previously, we introduced a benchmark that can simulate the algorithms and measure the different Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). In this paper, we present an investigation and a model for the load distribution and resource allocation/reallocation problem.
