Energy conservation is an important for mobile ad-hoc networks where devices are expected to work for longer periods of time without the need for charging their batteries. Reducing the energy consumption for transferring data, network lifetime, and congestion control. When transmitting the data source to destination less energy is used for the transmission because of that traffic load on that route having a less energy and some energy is remaining on the node for lifetime of network. In this paper design a protocol for network layer and Transport layer that reduces conservation of energy, lifetime of network and congestion control. In this layer, we introduce energy efficient protocol (DERDM) for better network life and data transmission to have less energy consumption. This protocol is better than existing protocol i.e. AODV, Dynamic routing source protocol. The proposed cross layer protocol is shown in the simulation result which is having less delay and better packet delivery ratio than existing protocol.
