Time Difference Amplifier in CMOS Process

Yanghong Tan, Genmiao Zhang · International Conference on Electronics, Communications and Control · 2012

The continuous reduction of size in CMOS process, which impacts the size of the system and performance, has a serious negative effect on the reliability of integrated circuits and signal integrity. To solve this problem, a Time-Mode Signal Processing (TMSP) circuit is introduced rather than traditional voltage-mode processing circuit. On the basis, a Time Difference Amplifier (TDA) circuit is proposed in the paper based on BSIM3 model and 90nm CMOS process. Simulation results show that the TDA can amplify time difference from a few Pico seconds to hundreds of Pico seconds.
