We have explored two phase single and multi-relay cooperative communication protocol over Nakagami-m fading channel conditions. A close form pairwise error probability (PEP) formulation of C(0) by utilizing moment generating function (MGF) approach over Nakagami-m fading channel conditions has been given in the manuscript. We have utilized multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) in conjunction with space-time coding (STBC) based selective decode and forward (SDF) cooperation protocol. Firstly, simulation results are compared for maximum likelihood decoding (ML) and near-ML decoding for Alamouti coded selective decode forward protocol having single relay. Afterward, asymptotic PEP bound over Nakagami-m fading for the multi relay C(0) convention has been inferred. Additionally, the end to end performance at optimal source and relay power allocation has been analyzed for single relay and in addition, multi-relay C(0) protocol. We have shown simulations for checking the accuracy of our determined analytical results. From the simulation results, we can state that we have achieved the full diversity order (D.O.).
