Reed Solomon codes is a member of the family of non binary Bose-Choudhuri-Hocquenqhen (BCH) codes. The fading identity of the wireless channel, errors normally take place in busty form. For WiMAX network, Reed Solomon codes are developed to be more effective for rectifying burst errors, therefore authors designed the Reed Solomon codes for WiMAX network. Here, we designed encoder and decoder R-S (255,239). The generator polynomial which has implemented by using LFSR for the designing of R-S encoder and for the designing of R-S decoder its classified as four parts i.e., syndrome calculator, error locator, calculate magnitude of error and error evaluation has implemented. Here, R-S encoder and decoder for WiMAX network are designed by VHSIC Hardware Description Language (VHDL) by using Xilinx 13.1 ISE software.
