A tutorial on simulating unmanned aerial vehicles

This paper presents our reflections about our recent, intense involvement with the simulation of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Our idea was to integrate a flight simulator with a machine learning (ML) algorithm. As in any research project, we came across many challenging issues. We would like to highlight those issues and their workarounds. Our hope is that this will make it easier for the wider research community to address the challenges involved in UAV simulation.
