Tatwadarshi P. Nagarhalli, Ashwini M. Save · 2017

Information security or data security has become critical part of communication in today's world of interconnectivity. This security can be achieved with the help of steganography which is a way to hide secret information in some other medium like text, audio, video or image. This paper present a new cross lingual system in Hindi text steganography. The paper provides multiple layers of security to the message to be hidden by first converting the Hindi secret message to a series of English alphabets, special characters and numbers with the help of the mapping table proposed in this paper. Also a location key is generated with the help of the cypher text generated by the mapping table and a randomised character sequence. This location key is encrypted as well to provide an extra layer of security. This proposed system also ensures that the original secret message is not sent over an unsecure channel even in a cypher form. The cross lingual technique for hiding secret message proposed in this paper can also be used for any two language by just changing the mapping table and character sequence.
