A novel design of fully connected communication network for Bio-inspired hardware

This paper presents a novel design of fully connected communication network for Bio-inspired Electronic Array. The network mainly comprises neighbor connection, bus connection and NoC network. Neighbor connection and NoC network are used to transfer computing results of adjacent and nonadjacent electronic cells, respectively. Bus connection is responsible for self-repairing. In order to avoid conflict, Round-Robin algorithm and a polling arbiter is used to arbitrate. Meanwhile, we design a 4×4 multiplier based on this architecture. The experimental verify the fully connected communication ability.
