M learning apps for digital India

In the 21stcentury, technology has become readily accessible to everyone and one such Technology is Mobile Applications (M-App). The Government of India with its `Digital India' programme is using this technology to change the future of India and its citizens. Through various M-Governance and Educational Apps, the Government is striving to meet its vision of `Digital India' programme. The paper intends to elucidate the model of Digital Education and the M-App initiatives of the Government in the field of education. It also outlines potential benefits of M-Learning Apps, barriers in the path of its success in India and how it can be a leading example for developing countries.
