With the rapid growth of data, big data processing imposes unprecedented challenge to existing network infrastructure. Network Function Virtualization (NFV) is the key technology for network transformation. Considering the transmission and processing of big data, how to reduce the service time by deploying virtual network function (VNF) instances is a critical issue in network virtualization. We formulate the deployment of VNF instances problem into a mixed-integer linear programming problem and then propose a relaxation-based algorithm with the purpose of minimum service time and considering load balance accordingly. Experimental results show that compared with existing methods, our proposed method can reduce the total service time.
