Analysis of Grid Based Sensor Deployment for Area Coverage in Wireless Sensor Network

Ghanshyam Yadav · 2016

Wireless sensor networks constitute a group of small power-constrained nodes with a myriad range of applications related to National Security, health monitoring, Surveillance, Military services, and Environmental monitoring. Consideration of constraints as power and computability sensor nodes in a WSN is expected to function for long duration with minimal human intervention. Coverage and connectivity are used to calculate the quality of service (QoS) of the networks greatly affect the performance of WSN’s. QoS is always derived in the design of WSN from the economics and practical view point. This paper compare and contrast the different deployment strategies aiming to acquire maximum coverage state with a minimum number of sensors in a predetermined target region . In this paper we have proposed two different concept of deployment of node to minimize the blind spot using grid based deployment.
