A MODEL OF THE INTERACTION BETWEEN TWO OVERLAPPING RESONANCES

We present a simple model to illuminate the dynamical interplay between two nearby resonances.The model assumes that each resonance is associated with a different channel in the limit when interchannel coupling is absent.We study the changes induced in the real and imaginary parts of the resonance-pole positions when coupling is "turned on."The relevance of this model to the A 2 mesons is discussed.
