A real time technique for targeted advertising using location-based services — For GPS enabled device: A review

Recent advance in the geo-located capacities, secured and verified positioning techniques, ubiquitous connectivity, as well as mobile and embedded systems, have led to develop a plethora of Location-Based Services (LBS), personalize the services that they deliver according to the location of the user querying the service. However, the widespread use of mobile equipments, with ever increases availability, precision, performance and connectivity have introduce the creepy feeling of being continuously monitored, in particular by the providers of the LBS. The primary goal of this research is to build an advertisement framework that support targeted advertising by analyzing social network content. The information will extracted by analyzing the contents of social networks is use to predict the advertising categories that show interest a particular user. The framework applies on location-based services to filter advertisements based on location of user and shop.
