Physical distance based peer organization in P2P network

Mohanjeet Singh, Kanwalpreet Kaur · 2017

P2P media streaming is the most renowned application on the web. In live media streaming nearest neighbor should discover as quick as possible. It is the most time constrained application to find nearest peer over the internet. Scalability, QoS and low latency are the objectives of media streaming. To achieve these objectives a system is needed which speedily and perfectly finds the nearby peer by probes or by network distance estimation. In this paper a scheme has been proposed which is based on landmark and can scale to large peer population. It will build the overlay network by estimating distance between peer and landmark. The paper also describes algorithms for group the nearby peers into same cluster by estimate the distance between peers.
