DIGITALISATION IN INDIAN ECONOMY

Digitalization can be describe as use of electronic technology in various fields that make the collection, storage and processing of data and information easier and convenient to a large extend and this also facilitate the end user to access the needed data at any time and at any place in entire world by simply using the established protocols. The best examples of Digital Technologies are Mobile Applications and Cloud Computing as this added the feature of transparency, accuracy and convenience in various services. Because of all these features “Digital India†has emerged as a one of the most focused project of the Government of Indian and as result, it is the most rapidly growing programs of Indian Government as it consists of vision of converting India into a digitally empowered country and mission is to make India emerge as a one of the most knowledge economy and accomplishment of these vision and mission is only possible with the presence of very strong digital technology in country. In order to make this program more successful so that every citizen of country can be facilitate with digital facility, the government of India has focus mainly on creation of digital infrastructure all around the country. The main motive of implementing digitalization concept in India is to build a participative, transparent and responsive system in economy so that the various day to day functions like online registration, fixing appointment in hospital, electronic fund transfer, using of digital signature for confidential work can become easy and reliable as all these function are the backbone of an economy and digital innovation in all these services make these function convenient and quick. Moreover digitalisation has worked as a helping hand in taking Indian economy to next generation of networking. One of the other main reason for giving more emphasis by Indian government on digitalisation is that, the India has immense potential of using digital methods as it is one of the youngest country in entire world with large number of potential internet user and secondly digitalization is the one of the most efficient method of fully utilising the potential of Indian youth which will act as catalyst in development of Indian economy. The research paper focus mainly on how government is taking various steps to boost up the digitalization in Indian so that India can come out as one of the most ideal option for all digital activities for both global and domestic investors moreover this paper also state the importance of digitalisation in reduction of paper work load in various sectors like banks, industries and security. Further this paper also throws light on the various opportunities and threats that are prevailing in Indian economy which on one hand can help and on other hand can restrain the government from achieving their dream of “digital Indiaâ€Â Â
