Updates on capacity development for agriculture data WG

This presentation will summarise the updates on the work to create a IGAD Working Group on Capacity Development for Agriculture data. This follows the discussions from the IGAD Capacity Development session pre-meeting at RDA 9 in Barcelona. At the IGAD RDA 9 Pre-meeting , there was strong interest for developing a focussed WG for building synergies in Capacity Development, in the context of research data in agriculture and its potential contribution to the realization of the SDGs. The Capacity Development Working Group aims to developing a common curricula based on a modular approach on specific themes on Weather data, Land data and Nutrition data by building synergies with other initiatives in GODAN etc. We will be increasing coherence and impact on the delivery of training. We will build together the feedbacks from our training programs to documenting lessons learnt for the benefit of future programs.
