The hail is one of the most serious a devastating natural disaster. Bring huge losses to agriculture, architecture, communication, electric power, transportation and peoples life and property. Chinese hail disasters occur frequently state, we need as soon as possible to prevent hail. Selection of hail clouds image in several areas of Xinjiang are analyzed, First, edge detection method of 5*5 cellular neural network is used to detect the edge image of the cloud image, on the basis of the edge image with Hus InvariantM index, the index with Bayes Discriminant Method to classify method training. Proven that classification accuracy is higher.
