Suggested Aids and Techniques for Illustrating

Many archeologists find it necessary to do their own illustrating, or have it done, by a draftsman or artist who has had little, or no, contact with the type of work involved. The finished drawing will be more presentable, and better serve the purpose for which it was intended, if the field map or preliminary drawing is clear and correct. This can best be accomplished by following a few simple rules in the field as well as in the laboratory.
