Abstract : Semiconductor devices have been critical torecent innovations in the automotive industry. Theimprovements in the fuel-efficiency, safety, luxury,communication and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems(ADAS) in automotive world wouldnt have been possiblewithout semiconductor integrated circuits. On-chipembedded flash is a key component in automotivemicrocontrollers (MCU) and certainly one of the mostchallenging elements to master. This paper addresses therole of non-volatile memories for automotive and Internetof Things (IoT) markets.
