A Transmission Method Using Alternative Multipath Based on Network Coding

In order to improve the transmission reliability and energy efficiency of wireless sensor network, this paper proposed a transmission method-alternative multipath based on network coding(AMNC). In this approach, the data packets are coded at cluster head, and then the encoded packets are transmitted to the sink through alternative multipath. The reliability and energy consumption of WSN are simulated in the MATLAB 7.0. The simulation results indicate that AMNC, which compared with the parallel multipath based on network coding, has a better performance.
