Correlated-photon-pair emission from a cw-pumped Fabry-Perot microcavity

Kerr nonlinearity in an optical coating is explored to generate photon pairs within a high-finesse Fabry-Perot resonator. The scheme, based on a continuous-wave diode laser, provides a robust and frequency-tunable quantum source.
