The construction of a whole class portable timeline of the scientific developments that culminated in Einstein's equation E = mc2. The activity includes: - Narrative - class viewing of the video E = mc2 Einstein and the World's Most Famous Equation. A search will readily provide further URLs for the video. - Physical, or online, construction that can be ongoing throughout the Preliminary Physics course. The timeline can be continually built upon throughout Stage 6 by adding the scientific developments that led to other concepts. Individual digital timelines can be developed in conjunction with the class hard copy version or as an alternative.
