Retrospect and prospect of wavelet and big data: A survey

Wavelet analysis is the perfect combination of pure mathematics, applied mathematics and engineering technology which inherits and develops Fourier analysis and has been widely used. This paper mainly introduces the generation and development of wavelet analysis, discusses the characteristics of several commonly used wavelet functions, introduces the application of wavelet analysis in big data and signal analysis, and at last, gives an overview of the development of wavelet analysis.
