Implementation of time-triggered ethernet using colored Petri NET

K. I. Nikishin, Nikolas Konnov, Dmitry V. Pashchenko · 2017

The article presents a simulation model of a Time-Triggered Ethernet real-time system. There are two types of traffic (real time traffic and standard traffic) that are used during frame processing in the Time-Triggered Ethernet. The authors considered a static configurable table of unique indexes and a static table of destination addresses when determining the destination address depending on the traffic type. The model consists of the following parts: the client, the guardian, the switch. The model is constructed using the apparatus of the hierarchical time colored Petri nets using the CPN Tools package. This article describes the algorithm of the guardian's work, calculation of time parameters of the acceptance window frame. Thus, the simulation model allows studying the mechanism of the Time-Triggered Ethernet.
