A survey on resource allocation in software defined networks (SDN)

Urooj Zehra, Munam Ali Shah · 2017

With emerging use of real time communication (i.e., high band width videos, video calls etc.) and IoT, this become challenge to manage network and handle traffic. SDN is a technology which provides scalability and flexibility to network by decoupling of control plane and data plane. It is also difficult to allocate resources depending upon types of tasks and user requirements. SDN central controller provides global view of network which makes resource allocation more reliable. In this paper, survey of recently proposed techniques for research allocation in SDN will be presented.
