Wideband DOA estimation based on Khatri-Rao subspace with unknown mutual coupling
Jin Zhang · 2016
Based on Khatri-Rao subspace, a novel direction of arrival (DOA) estimation method for wideband uncorrelated signals is proposed in the presence of unknown mutual coupling. The effect of mutual coupling at each frequency bin can be compensated by setting several auxiliary array elements on each side of the original array and the DOAs can be accurately estimated by applying the technique of Khatri-Rao subspace without any calibration sources. The method can resolve wideband uncorrelated signal with flat frequency spectrum. Moreover, the number of wideband signals resolved by the method can be no less than that of the original array elements in most applications. Simulations results validate the effectiveness of the method.
