Numerical simulation of equilibrium systems while viewing stereoscopic video clips

Fumiya Kinoshita, Hiroki Takada · 2017

Asthenopia and visually induced motion sickness (VIMS) are well-known phenomena experienced by users while viewing videos, playing immersive video games, and performing similar activities. In previous studies, we pointed out peripheral viewing as a pathogenesis of VIMS, the evidence of which was demonstrated and the anomalous sway was described using mathematical models. Moreover, stochastic differential equations were used to mathematically model the body-sway phenomenon. In this study, we discuss the metamorphism of the potential functions in controlling the standing posture while viewing stereoscopic video clips using a mathematical model.
